FAQ

How Do I Find the Right Lawyer?

There are many lawyers with different levels of experience, reputation and integrity. You can research experience based on many websites including theĀ  SuperLawyer.com, and a host of other individual websites.

The State Bar licenses all attorneys, but only attorneys that have gone through a special certification process can assert that they are “Specialists” in a given field of law. In Florida, there are over 80,000 lawyers, and only 841 are Criminal Law Specialists according to the Florida Board of Legal Specialization.

Once you have narrowed your list of lawyers based on experience, you will want to ask for referrals and opinions about the lawyers you are considering. You should meet in person with the lawyer you are considering hiring. Each Lawyer has very different personalities and philosophies. You MUST trust the lawyer you are hiring, because it is your life, freedom, family, and record at stake.

While it is important to contact lawyers quickly it is much more important to find the right lawyer for you and your family.

What is a Board Certified Criminal Lawyer?

  • An attorney who has been licensed to practice law for at least five years
